A limited written pilot

Wilhelm-based I Ching consultations.

Bring one sincere question, a little background and the six lines of a hexagram you have cast yourself. A written consultation creates space around the question without taking the decision away from you.

A book of change, read through six lines.

The I Ching, often translated as the Book of Changes, is an ancient Chinese text. People have used it for centuries as a way of reflecting carefully on a situation that is in motion.

A casting forms a hexagram: six lines, built from the bottom upwards. Some lines are stable; others are changing. Together they provide the structure through which the text is read.

Understand the practiceWhat is the I Ching?

Ancient text, careful attention, practical reflection.

Jacco’s consultations are grounded primarily in Richard Wilhelm’s translation of the I Ching, rendered into English by Cary F. Baynes. The work attends to the primary hexagram, its Judgement and Image, the changing lines and the resulting hexagram as one coherent reading.

Jacco has consulted the I Ching for more than two decades. That long experience is now being reshaped into a more responsible practice: one that values discernment, context and the reader’s freedom more than repeated reassurance.

One question, carefully held.

Request a pilot consultation

From question to written reflection.

The enquiry is reviewed before payment so that the question and scope are clear from the beginning.

01

Bring a question

A consultation begins with one sincere question and enough background to understand what is genuinely at stake.

02

Cast six lines

Six values are provided from the bottom line to the top. Moving lines reveal the change within the primary hexagram.

03

Study the complete text

The primary hexagram, its Judgement and Image, relevant moving lines and the resulting hexagram are considered together.

04

Receive a written consultation

The interpretation comes first, followed by the relevant Wilhelm-based source material and reflective questions.

You can cast the six lines yourself.

You do not need previous experience with the I Ching. The traditional three-coin method is simple once it is demonstrated carefully: prepare one question, assign the two sides of three coins, cast six times and record each result from the bottom line upwards.

A step-by-step written guide explains what to hold in mind, how the numbers are formed, which lines are moving and how to avoid reversing the order.

Learn how to cast

The oracle does not own your life.

01

Reflection, not prediction

The reading explores patterns, tensions and possibilities. It does not guarantee an outcome.

02

Context matters

A question is not interpreted in a vacuum. The client’s circumstances and stated background help keep the reading grounded.

03

The whole reading

A consultation does not isolate a single attractive line. It attends to the complete structure and movement of the cast.

04

Your agency

The final choice remains yours. The I Ching can deepen reflection, but should not replace judgement or responsibility.

A consultation is reflective guidance.

It is not a guarantee of outcomes and is not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. Where a question enters one of those areas, the consultation may help clarify values and questions, while the practical decision should be taken with an appropriately qualified professional.

Readings should not be used to create fear, dependency or urgency. A useful consultation leaves a person more grounded and more capable of choosing.

The pilot includes one question and one cast. It does not include a live call, a second question, another casting or unlimited email discussion. A new question becomes a separate consultation.

Questions about another person’s private thoughts or future actions may be reframed towards your own relationship, conduct and choices. The decision and its consequences remain yours.
